The love I hold for you
in my slightly-scarred hands
has many uses
It can stretch
for miles, providing m
with a road I know
will not lead me astray
It can seep through
my skin and fall
into my bones,
warming them gently
It can shrink down
to a ball,
finding me after I
throw it at the cracking wall
But my favorite way
to see my love for you
is when it’s in your hands
