The Exchange
Tell me about your dreams
And I will show you my right breast
Tell me about your parents
And I will show you my right
Tell me about the things you aspired to be
And i will show you the birthmark on my chest
Tell me about what breaks you
And then open your eyes
And here are my legs
Tell me about your fears
and I will tie up my hair to reveal my neck
Tell me that you accept me, twice
And I'll smile with my crooked teeth.
Please don't ask me the same things
I am not capable of offering answers
I know it is selfish,
But I need you to be vulnerable first, in these ways
For me to be vulnerable
In those ways.
