No One Room
Electronics blaring all around,
A cell phone vibrating loudly on a desk.
Discarded bottles all over,
Old crumblettes of food spread around for ants,
And no one to clean them.
A smell comes through it and it is a smell of AXE,
It comes from something but no one knows what.
A TV blaring Sportscenter,
And no one there to watch for hours.
Upon the wall a collage of player cards,
Waiting for something to take them down and use them.
A comfortable bed spread on the bed,
But no one to rest in it.
A laptop resting on a desk
Just waiting to be typed on,
But no one is there to use it.
A lonely countertop there,
Waiting to have things put upon it,
But no one will complete that dream.
A signed basketball ready to be used,
But no one will ever.
No one will stop the electronics,
No one will answer the phone,
And no one will be there.
No one will ever be there.
