Its easier to cry in the rain,

as the drops pelt down on my gaping chest it fills the hole that remains there bleeding.

But watery thoughts do not take the place of

the warm summer sun that has cooled to an autumn chill

they trickle from my mind to my heart and flow so deep its hard to breathe

I wrap my arms tight around me as if trying to keep the parts of me together

the tighter I grasp the smaller i become until I wish that no one could see me at all

I imagine Im the wind whisking around the rain until I suddenly hear a desperate cry

A cry from a girl who seems vaguely familiar

I try to get closer but she is too hard to see, she is slowly disappearing behind darkened clouds

as the clouds finally part and the rain subsides all that is left to the girl is a puddle of thoughts

I peak over the edge to see what is left only to be met with my own blank expression
