Sane Love
You opened a door to a world so brazen.
Our eyes made love through passionate glazing.
Your sweet serenade still makes my heart flutter.
And every word you've spoken made me melt like butter.
I think it was your voice: so smooth, so orotund, and so manly.
Or maybe it was your smile that was so wanly.
In your arms I felt safe.
I no longer felt like an enemy or a big disgrace.
With you I felt like a woman.
And the butterflies that you caused made me sick to my stomach.
All the good you've done for me caused a thousand years of pain.
And the thought of your lips on someone else's caused thirteen days of shame.
The love you had for me was like a charade.
You acted out the climaxes and I was the one who got played.
You always said the right thing, at the right time, at the right place.
But when you broke my heart over a keyboard,it washed away the smile on my face.
You directed my heart to a red light.
And even though I was angry, I could never managed to put up a fight.
Beneath my soul were pots of gold.
But, you took them out; now I'm another prediction that's been foretold.
I feel so exposed!
The real estate for my love has now been foreclosed.
Because I took possession of my womanhood with a payment called lessons.
I was so addicted to you that your presence felt like ounces of cocaine.
Your touch built up my adrenaline rush with fire flowing threw my veins.
I can still taste our bitter sweet pain.
And even though I hate you, you taught me to love: with all my heart and by being sane.
