Ode to cello
Oh cello of my life
With your curved bough and straight neck
Your bridge a work of art
And strings of honeyed light
As the bow glides across your strings
Ringing through the air
Drawing out that mellow sound,
That I will want to hear
Red and Brown suit you well
Complement your wood
But you also wear many hues
From yellow to black to blue
Oh cello, My cello
The love of my life
I see no others in my sight
Not a violin
Not a voila
Not even a kazoo
'cause non can compare to the beauty of you
