I sit at the table and look at the page,
but the letters swirl around in a confusing haze.
I read the words but don't know what they say
as I look without seeing and try as I may
I can't seem to concentrate on this impossible task
I want to get up
do something else
anything!
But alas, I can't.
I have to learn, fill my brain with facts
about him and her and this and that.
Oh when will this slow day draw to a close?
Oh, how slowly it all seems to go!
Maybe I'll take a break
go get a drink and have some space,
