Growing Up
I am from a soft loving mother
Her kind words and hands molded me
Her fighting spirit lives on in me
She taught me its okay to be me
She taught me that life isn’t about money or traveling the world
Its not about fancy cars or diamond rings
She showed me the value of real things
She showed me all I need is a loving family
I am from a tough father
He couldn’t give me much through my life but one thing was sure
He loved our family and that was good enough for me
Now a days everyone has something smart to say
Nobody knows what respect is or was
nobody knows the vale of seeing someone smile or laugh
Its all about getting somebody to like you for your clothes or money or even a car
Its all about having or sharing love
