Stepfather
Evil lurks in the most familiar places
In crowded spaces on familiar faces
You try to get by and ignore all the signs
but the people you live with are living in lies
and you trust even though there's no trust to be given
Blinded by the belief that its safe where you’re living
At night in bed while you cry in your sheets
It creeps under your bed just watching your feet
and if you were to run, try to run somewhere safe
It would grab you and drag you back to the same place
So you harden your heart because you feel all alone
and you no longer know where to call home
Evil lurks in the most familiar places
