Dear BFF,
Dear BFF,
On the first day of school we were best of friends.
Little did I know there was a smoldering spark just lying there warning me to watch out.
We were sitting there in those cold, smooth, blue chairs.
Laughing our heads off.
Loving every second of our Middle School
life.
As we neared second semester of
school we went to our first dance together.
We made plans to grow up together, live right next to each other, have our kids become friends.
Spend every second in the Summer together.
But then,
You met new friends
You put me on the back burner.
You said hi to me every now and then.
Remember that time you said you couldn’t hang out because you were busy?
I saw you at the movies.
That’s when everything began to change between me and you.
You shared my deepest secret that I thought I could trust you with.
Then, there was this rumor going around as fast as lightning.
Saying that I kissed your boyfriend and you believed it.
Then the spark began to grow into a raging fire. That’s when I realized,
the fire finally stopped.
Our friendship went up in smoke.
We’re done.
I’m done.
Burned out.
