Bully
Bully
My heart is a fragile piece of glass
Fighting not to be broken
Crouching in corners and cowering in the stalls
All alone and can hear a pin drop
I walk in the halls with my head down
The only way through evil is to not look it in the eye
The laughs and giggles are like bees swarming
Stinging me with their sharp words
If I’m quiet enough they might not know I’m there
But when I speak they tear at me like lions and I’m the prey
The warning bell is a reminder
For the monsters to go back into hiding
“Fatty.” they whisper as I walk past them
The thought almost drives me to insanity
As I stare at a mirror picking out my flaws
Retard, nerd, suck-up
The new generation of name-calling
Being updated year after year
Bully
Is the name people don’t say
If you do, you might be next with the hundreds of names of victims
The names are like bullets
Unable to escape the enveloping number of weaponry
Telling the teachers would just make it worse
They would know that I told
My parents would be disappointed
In the person I’ve become
Interrogating me about why I don’t have any friends over
The answer is always the same
I’m just too tired
But I am guilty of avoidance
Middle school is a prison
With no way out
My fragile heart is broken
With no one to put the pieces back in place
