Do I dare to dream
After everything?
Do I dare to wish
After this?
Do I dare to let
This flower bloom,
Or do I nip it in the bud,
Play it safe?
All my life
I've been hiding
In the darkness,
Shying away from the sun
Too afraid
To let my dreams show
For fear
They will be crushed
I prefer
To keep my wishes close
Where no one but I
Can see
Here they can reside
Safe and sound,
Here they will always
Stay with me
