I am off my game today
Kick, Kick, Pop, Flick, Bail
Pop, Flick, Bail
Pop, Flick, Bail

My friends tell me to get up and keep trying
but I would rather lie there and fry like an egg on the hot pavement
Spaghetti legs and swollen heels are all that is left of me

Get up, and walk back up the stairs
1, 2, 4, 5, 6
6 steps lie between me and my victory
"It is only a kickflip," I say.
"Pull yourself together."
Again, pop, flick, bail
Once more, pop, flick, bail

One more try for the road
Pop, flick, catch, land
Mission complete

Skateboarding is an important aspect of my life. It is what I love, and I spend every second that I can doing it. This poem is about the struggle of landing a trick, and really shows how dedicated skateboarders, like myself, are to skateboarding. Enjoy.
