Divided
There’s a little place
 On the off-beaten track
 Where the Ocean
 Meets the River

 It’s a place where Poseidon
 And Achelous meet
 In tranquil harmony
 And volatile discord

 The Ocean beckons
 With its sea-foam whisper
 As the River entices
 With its deep azure glimmer

 Stuck in a blissful trance
 You wade down the center
 In perfect equilibrium
With the River and its Father

 The coolness of the water
 Burns with fiery ecstasy
 Causing you to melt
 Into isolated surrender

 Trapped in two worlds
 That soon become one
 You search for a breath
 Finding that there is none.
