The Friend is the Enemy
I always thought you were my friend
Someone who would be there until the end
A comforter, for when I needed to fall
A place for hiding secrets, for I told you all
But questioningly as time goes on
I become the steps you fall upon.
Practically your doormat, you walk on by
stepping on me when all I do is try.
Fluster with anger, anguish and steel
Love has become parasitic, and one of us no longer feels.
Lonely and fright became my best friends
Because you really weren't there in the end.
