Ghosts of Time

When we gaze upwards,
Peering into the star laden night sky,
We see ghosts;
Not ethereal endothermic entities,
But rather the Ghosts of Time.
We see everything and nothing,
Time and the Timeless,
For the farther we look,
The less time we see.
In Space, massive beings lurk about;
Stars that are as large as a thousand Suns'
Or Dwarf stars, the size of the Earth.
Each star is massive
Fusion driven -
Some red, some blue, some white, -
But still ghosts.
Despite massive fires
Erupting from the surface,
And intense mass,
That distorts space-time -
They cannot be seen
As they exist today.
Some have erupted in Spectacles of Fire
Known as Supernovae
Exploding materials outward
Almost superluminally.
But all we see
Is the timeless shimmer of light.
So have yourself a glance upwards
With a twinkle of reflection in your eyes
And realize that everything you see
Including both you and me
Are Ghosts of Time and Anomalies.
