smoke on the water
The flock of metal birds
Approaching the shore,
Hundreds of them, all tattooed
With the circle from hell.
Nothing can compare,
The feeling of death
Flying right over you
About to drop.
The sky wasn’t gloomy,
As beautiful as Hawaii
Has and always will be
But something was about to change.
The planes draw closer
Approaching like a hurricane,
Nothing could cease the
Storm that was about to
Rain down its lead drops.
Nothing was able stop it
From attacking the
Ship filled harbor packed
With the U.S. soldiers.
The first bomb drops
And a century later,
The bombs hit the ground
And the place erupts with
Fire like a volcano.
The metal mortars melt
The mix of shrapnel
Flying through the air.
Soldiers scrambling to put
Up a fight like they
Were trained to do,
But there is nothing left.
Every ship and airfield
In and near the harbor,
Is destroyed, and is now
A part of WW2 history.
