Wanderlust
The Wanderlust has got me,
Taken over my soul,
A fire burns within my heart,
Like the sun,
It burns bright,
My heart writhes in anguish,
It longs to be far away,
and yet,
not anywhere certain,
just travelling the roads.
Aye,
The Wanderlust has got me,
It's chained me down,
Occupying every last corner of my mind,
I long to be gone,
Just gone away,
Wander the roads,
The paths,
And the trails,
That my eyes have never seen,
Through cities,
Through country,
It matters not to me.
Because,
The Wanderlust has got me,
Taken hold of my soul,
Taken over my heart,
And in control of,
My mind.
