In the mind of a Free Verse Writer

This isn’t a story because I’m too lazy to write one.
This isn’t a song because I’m too lazy to write one.
This isn’t a laptop because I’m too lazy to make one.
This isn’t a backpack because I’m too lazy to carry one.
This isn’t a folder because I’m too lazy to open one.
This isn’t a window because I’m too lazy to close it.
This isn’t a chair because I’m too lazy to sit in it.
This isn’t a bed because I’m too lazy to sleep in it.
This isn’t a thought because I’m too lazy to think it.
This isn’t a hanger because I’m too lazy to hang clothes on it.
This isn’t a desk because I’m too lazy to use it.
This isn’t a phone because I’m too lazy to pick it up.
This isn’t a monster because I’m too lazy to get rid of it.
This is a free verse.
And because of my laziness, I can do whatever I want.
I can right witth bad spellling,
I can right in a different font without having to change it,
I can use comic sans,
I can write really small
I can write really big
Free verse lets me do whatever I want,
Because I’m lazy,
I write free verse.
I can rhyme
in time
but I don’t want to
because I’m lazy
Why I didn’t just right a poem
I don’t know.
But I do know,
How to write free verse
I can interrupt myse---
and start up again on another line
I can WRITE IN ALL CAPS
I Don’t have to follow any rules
Cause I make the rules.
In Free Verse!!!!!!!
My laziness created a work of art.
Too beautiful for the world to see.
I didn’t want to write a story,
I didn’t want to write anything
because,
I,
am,
lazy,
(That’s why I’m still using bold)
My free verse is loved by all
because nobody understands it
they just know
that other people like it
so it must mean something deep
no need for grammer, and no need for spelling
Free verse is the way to go.

Free from the sorrows of the world
Free from the restrictions placed by society
Free from the need to know
free from the bonds of suffering.
Even though you think,
I just wrote something deep,
it’s not really that deep,
I just made it up.
