Looking Glass
Day after day.
Night after night.
I still see,
Those piercing eyes.
Through the looking glass.
I reach out and touch the cool smooth surface,
And thought of you.
I looked up at the stars,
And saw a shining moon.
I wonder if you see it too.
Miles and miles away,
Where the sun meets the sea,
Blue mixing with yellow.
I remember those soft eyes,
Through the looking glass.
As I traced my hand across the surface,
I remember you.
I looked up at the moon.
And saw a shooting star.
I wondered if you could see it too.
As I looked to the horizon,
The sun met the sea.
Piercing blue and mellow yellow,
Brushing against the looking glass,
Cascading in an array of colors.
As I stood on the horizon,
The sun starts to set.
Shading the sun into a majestic purple.
And as the horizons met,
I turned to face the looking glass.
I reached out my hand,
Towards the looking glass.
I reached towards her hand,
Through the looking glass.
And in that moment.
We could finally see.
