A Child
There was only
one type of poem.
You thought one hundred
dollars was a million.
Eventhough you believed in things
like tooth fairy or Santa Claus
The older you got the less money was
under you pillow.
and the gifts from Santa were no longer from
Santa.
You watched Peter Pan
then stayed up all night hoping
that he would come.
You pretended you had super
powers and imagined you
were flying, but never actually left the ground.
The thought of growing up sounds so amazing
but then when you actually do you realize
you should take the time to be a child instead
of trying to become an adult.
