Once we were so close
You were the one I depended on most.
Slowly drifting apart from one mistake
If I only had known this was your fate.
Why of all people did this have to be
A choice that ruined my destiny.
Once we considered being old friends together
But now that won't ever happen in this stormy weather.
I still look back on our memories and smile
Even though I haven't heard your voice in a while.
Maybe one day we can reconcile, hopefully not too long
But for now, please understand, I've moved on.
