Before You Hea;
4:38am
I hate you.
I hate how you’re missing teeth.
But that’s how the sun shines
through your Seattle smile.
I hate your wild hair.
But it’s spun from Heaven
and I want to be there when I die.
I hate your blue eyes.
But they are shards of glass
piercing my soul with your angels and demons.
I hate your voice.
Whispering butterflies
in my ear while I sleep.
I hate your arms.
Because they still crave
my bruised and broken form.
I hate your heart.
Because I’m the substance
coursing through your collapsed veins.
I hate you,
because I’m still yours.
