1763
The Native Americans
Watch the arrival of a European ship.
But who cares
Leave the past behind.

1770s
The American Revolution
Patriots fighting for independence.
But who cares
It doesn't make any “Common Sense” to me.

1870s
The Industrial Age
Improving and expanding inventions.
But who cares
That happened so long ago.

1914
The First World War
Wilson and creating of The League of Nations.
But who cares
I don’t need to know that for the future.

1941
World War II
Adolf Hitler murdering innocent people.
But who cares
At least it’s better now.

2000s
The United States faces
growing economy issues.
But who cares
Thats behind us and my future is undetermined.

But … wait
Close your eyes
And stop to think
What would your
Life be like …
Without your freedom
And yea … even without
Your cell phone.
This is now
A part of history.

Every victory and
Every defeat
That happened in the past
Has an affect on your future
Like the Ghost of Christmas Past
It never truly leaves you.

Whether it’s as big as a war,
Or as simple as your first crush,
Without those events
You wouldn’t be
Who you are or
Where you are today
And so the truth is
You should start to
Care about
The Native Americans,
The American Revolution,
The Industrial Age,
World War I,
World War II,
Economy crises
And even what
You’re doing right now
Because soon it’ll
Become history
And it’ll shape you
And it’ll break you
And you don’t get to choose
What stays with you.
