The Free Verse Poem

The free verse poem is an interesting poem,
For it includes no rhyme.
However, this is quite a challenge at times,
For rhymes are not necessities necessarily.
In fact, rhymes are frowned upon,
Believe it or not.
Now pause while I add
This caesura—
It adds a sort of poetic feel that this poem seems to be lacking.
See, the free verse free topic seems to be a challenge,
Because without a start,
Where should I end.
Then again, was the beginning really the beginning?
Perhaps we began in the middle.
Nevertheless, this is my
Free verse
Poem.
