A girl was born into the world,
damned to the ground as the bottom of the animal kingdom.
She longed for the day the her feet would leave the harsh ground.
Exhausted and cut up as the thorns on the ground picked at her, the crows in the trees laughing at her,
the girl who was cursed to be stuck to the ground.
She was jealous of the crows and other pretty birds who could fly. Always, she would look to the sky and often times she would try to reach the heavens jumping, only to fall down, gravity chaining her down.
Then, one day she grew tired of waiting, tired of the crow's laughter, tired of the thorns picking at her, tired of not being able to fly freely like the pretty birds in the sky.
She climbed, she climbed until there were no more thorns, and she climbed until she could no longer hear the crows laughter, and yet still she climbed higher and higher past all the birds flying in the air. And when she was at the top of the mountain,
for the very first time she looked down.
She was so high up even the clouds were below her and when she looked up, she saw the sky closer than ever before, the heavens almost within her grasp.
So she did what she always did,
she jumped.
However, the harsh ground refused to let her go. So when the chains of gravity pulled her down, the ground swallowed her, burying her body into the dirt.
But, the curse was broken
the chains were cut
and she flew to heaven.
