There is lots of fear in this crazy world
Arachnophobia: The fear of spiders, Coulrophobia: the fear of clowns, Anglophobia: Fear of pain or even Anthrophobia: the fear of people.
But, my fear is much worse.
I fear change.
Change is scary and saddening.
Things will never be the way they used to be.
It makes you just want to grab the past hold it tight and never let it go.
The fear of change is sickening.
Your heart feels twice as heavy
The fear of change is so strong you burst out with uncontrollable emotion.
The fear of change is scary.
You were used to the way things were, it was the best time of your life something finally made sense to you, you were comfortable and now that's gone.
The fear of change was like ripping off your security blanket and tearing it into little pieces.
The fear of change was now having to come to the realization that everything that your life is about to be thrown off balance.
It's sea of insecurities made from tears cried from frightening thoughts.
What's going to happen? Who will I be with where I go? There is So many, too many questions whirling around in your head.
No matter how big or small or upsetting the change was, it still hurt thinking about it.
When the time of change came it didn’t hit you like a train at full speed.
It didn’t make an impact.
It slowly gradually seeped into your life without notice.
It gave you a gentle nudge and you didn’t even realize that you have already adjusted.
Looking back you have no more "fear of change" just a flicker of sadness when you remember how it used to be.
Now you're not dreading the future, you’re remembering the past.
And the emptiness is filled with fresh new memories that you love and don't want to change.
So maybe the only thing scary was the fear of change itself.
Like the Great Franklin D. Roosevelt said “The only thing to fear is fear itself"

I wrote this piece because it really applies to me. I always fear change whenever it happens, whether its school, family, death of a loved one or other issues. I really hope others will look and realize its how they feel too.
