No more tests or quizzes,
Just sitting on the swing watching the flowers blow with the wind,
And pool parties every day,

Four… more days till school lunches are gone,
Replaced by eggs and bacon every morning,
As well as delicious sandwiches for lunch,
And lip-licking good dinners every night,

Three… more days till bugs come out to play,
Although occasionally pesky some bugs can be fun,
Lightning bugs come alive at night,
They transform the sky to look like fireworks are filling the sky,
Through the grass and ivy leaves they soar,
All until the sun rises in the morning,
If only summer could come faster.



Two… more days till lemonade and tea is found on every porch,
Condensation will surround every glass,
And ice will clink with every sip to escape the heat,
And glasses will be raised to toast to the summer,
If only summer could come faster.

One… more day till everyone will leave town for vacations,
Cruises to the Bahamas,
And joy rides to Disney,
Out everyone goes to escape small or big town worries,
And to venture to beaches to search for shells,
If only summer could come faster.
