A cloudy day
A cloudy Day
I look up into the bright blue
sky and watch the clouds
pass by as I lay on my back
on the soft grass while the
beaming sun warms my
face.
I watch the puffy clouds
form into animals
that look so realistic, it’s as if they
were about to pop off of the beaming
blue canvas.
The clouds then turn gray, they roll into circles
as if someone was stirring a
pot of soup.
I watch as the clouds get bigger
and puffier like oversized
waterballoons about to burst,
,the thunder strikes then
the earth becomes silent and
within seconds the rain pelts down
like bullets.
I jump up off of the wet grass
and sprint to the house. I can
smell the hot steam rising up from the
pavement as I try to dodge the
raindrops as if they were boulders.
