Never forgive, never forget.
There are Joints in my body that ache when I hear
Your name
is like poison in my mouth;
I have never tasted something to foul.
I can hear the howl of the moon that reminds me every night of the way you called my name.
You said:
"Come here, let me hold you; I can take you away and teach you how to ride the moon across the stars."
I listened.
How foolish i must have been to have listened to somebody who didn't know how to read the constellations.
You did, however, know what words to use to rip open my skin and crawl into the caverns of my bones.
You stayed there.
Year after year, you stayed there.
Wearing me down, slowly,
until I could barely move-
barely breath- on my own.
