I wait for you to come
I wait and wait all day
And when I finally see you, moon
Among the stars you lay
The twinkling spheres around you
Make you stand out, oh so bright
Whenever I see you, dearest moon
My fear is out of sight
You sit on a canvas of navy, charcoal, and violet
In contrast to your beautiful lights
You know, I really do love you, big moon
You complete the most perfect of nights
