Let me feel the grass beneath my feet,
Let the ancient trees conceal the sun from me,
so that the rays of light
only occasionally warm my face.
I want to see every flower,
every tree,
every meadow.
The beauty of it all overwhelms me
to the point of tears.
Because there is nothing quite like the calmness
of watching the green leaves dancing softly in the wind.

I want the freedom of walking
through the most enchanted forest,
with no one around to stop me
from dancing
and singing
and laughing.
I want to dip my feet in the cold stream
that constantly flows gently.
The light sparkles on the water shines like diamonds
and reflects back on my skin.
There is a time for everything.
A time for anger,
sadness,
and doubt.
But here and now,
this is a time for freedom.

The author's comments:
I find solstice in nature, and forests are my sanctuary. A lot of my writing is inspired by nature, and in this particular poem, I wanted to express the freedom I feel surrounded by nature.
