Like a Raindrop
An empty feeling sits in my stomach.
My eyes are dull,
No longer alive.
The sun is no longer shining,
Just ominous clouds fill the sky.
I stare at the bench in front of me,
Which is being hit repeatedly by
Powerful raindrops.
They fall down elegantly,
Then they hit the wooden surface with a splash,
Sending more drops to the grassy world below.
I envy those raindrops.
Raindrops get the best ending to their lives.
A graceful fall from a fluffy, dark cloud,
Onto whatever beautiful surface that is
Underneath them.
They splatter against that surface,
Almost heroic.
I wish my ending was heroic,
Rather than bloody and disgraceful.
I wish my ending was elegant,
Rather than sloppy and unsightly.
I wish my ending was
Like a raindrop.
