A Walk On the Moon
From up here it is more than I imagined.
More magnificent
I don’t know why.
The blue of the ocean borders your home and mine
The green of the trees meets the brown of the desert
The colors blend to make up all that you see
Everything is surrounded by the black abyss of the sky
With sparkling specks that meet the eye
The light of life shines brightly
Across the sky.
Each night when you turn off the light
Look up and what do you see?
A man on the moon
Well, that is me.
A dream that I have now achieved
I look down to see my footprints
To you it may just be a footprint
But to me it is much more
It is...
Every hour in the library
Every lost relationships
Every Sacrifice
I have left my mark
On the Moon
And on history
You’ll always remember me
The Man On The Moon.
