Terminal Ticking
Doctors chime in and out,
examining beeps.
Faster and slower,
always on time.
Thy naked head,
often in gaze of worry.
Medicine licks,
my inner core.
It jumps and spins,
but never heels.
Like a canine,
tied for years.
The beeps stop,
it seems my time is up.
