I want to leave
I want to steal a car
a nice car
leave this place of labor and pain
to which I return every day
and drive home
I want to hide in my room
I want to crawl in my bed
and lay there until an old friend
welcomes me into his dark embrace
I want to wake up
to the smell of my mother’s cooking
I want to feast like its Thanksgiving
for every meal of every day

I want to leave
I want to take an everlasting vacation
to somewhere I’ve never been, maybe Hawaii
I want to waste half my days in relaxation
And the other half in adrenaline
I want to inhabit a suite
and be catered to like I earned it
I want to watch all the classic movies
I never had the chance to see
I want to read all the thick books
I never had the time to read
I want to go parasailing and kite surfing

I want to leave
I want to go on a spiritual journey
I want to backpack through the middle east
and study the ways of gurus and monks
I want to explore my mind
the way I explored Hawaii

I want to leave
