His touch
The sun was hot down south,
Different from anywhere she’d
ever been in the summer.
Hot like eggs in a frying pan.
Cold water splashed on her face
As she plunged into the ocean.
She was being chased right in.
The water was cold but felt so good on her warm skin.
She loved the touch of his soft hands on her body when
He lightly touched her golden body.
She only wanted to spend all day and all night with him.
They ran around for hours
Ticked by his kisses and kissed by the summer sun.
Laying on the beach until sundown, giggling like
A couple of teenagers in a summer romance,
A romance like a couple that’s been together for 60 years.
And just looking at each other for what seemed like days,
Laying on his chest watching the night
Stars.
Listening to his heartbeat, while they slowly
Drifted asleep.
