Naranja
The Earth sings an ode to
 all things orange,
 to the Sunday morning peels,
 who leave their fiery-citrus tracks
 sprawled along the counter.
To the smoky embers that glow
 bright
 long after the sun has
fallen and the fire has died.
 To the pixie-dust twinkles from
 burning sunsets that flicker across
 calm, summer lakes.
 To the plump, fall-time
 jack o’lanterns whose earthy,
 carrot-juice tints bleed heavy
 into the night air.

The Earth sings an ode to
 all things orange.
No matter it’s shade, or whether it fades,
the Earth sings an ode to
 all things orange.
