He crouches down
As if praying for relief
Unwillingly he has to surrender
His fear of the past overcomes him
The eyes of familiarity and panic betray him
He knows this ritual by now
Choosing the well worn words
He says, "I'm sorry"
Repeating it as if trying to believe it
"Being yourself is they key"
Everyone always tells him
But he can't ever be
Their flames slowly diminish
As his are rising
Built up anger and remorse threatens him
He holds it in one last time
Waiting for relief from the never ending pain
Flowing with unresolved threats
He waits
Waits for the inevitable

You will always be judged. You just have the option on how you deal with it.
