Red.
The color of loyal blood,
and the sky of a raging thunderstorm.
The color of deranged eyes,
and a heart that’s been torn.
It feels like you’re full of water,
and there’s magnets in your fist.
The temperature keeps getting higher,
until you’re boiling pissed.
You only really see outlines,
fuzzy colors and enemy blurs.
You thought everything was fine,
but in your mind the chaos occurs.
Don’t light the fuse that’s already short, do not play around,
you may push one too far, and end up 6 feet underground.
Grey.
The color of cloudy skies,
of slow aging and grime.
The color of the dullest eyes,
that we all see over time.
It feels like a blank nothing,
empty, endless, and bland.
Like you can almost feel something,
but it slips out of your hand.
You see every little detail,
specs of dirt in lost, sad eyes.
Until sympathy makes you frail,
and you’re sick of the disguise.
If you are stuck in grey,
I hope you find a rainbow.
Because I can’t really say,
I know which way to go.
Blue.
The color of the sky above,
of raindrops and late nights.
The happening of taken love,
the aftermath of lights.
It feels like you're dragging an ocean,
every movement is a pain.
Like there was a cruel explosion,
but everything’s the same.
All you see is your shoes,
dragging through the day.
You don’t see much through the blues,
but you hear every word they say.
In the murky ocean blue,
I can feel your frown.
But the struggle is all too real for you,
Do you break free or will you drown?
Yellow.
The color of rushed lightning,
of intensely stoked up fire.
The flower comes with a bee sting,
and you’re walking on thin wire.
It feels like an earthquake,
never stopping, always shaking.
Though your problems may seem fake,
Your heart and mind is always racing.
You see things one by one,
Life is never in full focus.
Your freight train is never done,
no way out, no hocus pocus.
Yellow is too bright, yellow is always hard to see.
If you can find a way to turn off the light,
you’ll find the darkness is serene.
