The Departure

Unwanted,
Unloved,
Uncared for,
The girl is desperate.
Desperate to escape the pain,
The suffering,
And the sorrow.
She wants to leave,
To run away,
And escape the sadness.
Without disturbing a single soul,
She wants to depart in peace.
Packing away her possessions forever,
And saying a final goodbye to familiar surroundings,
The girl leaves behind horrid memories of the past.
As metal meets flesh with a click,
She soundlessly drifts away,
Heading for the sky,
Toward the sun...
Toward the Son.
