Dolls

They tell me to do my own thing,
then they tell me what to be.
They tell me just to be myself,
then tell me to not be me.
Why can't I be happy being myself,
not worrying what others may think.
But instead its as if we are dolls on a shelf,
expected to be totally in sync.
