February 29th 1997
12:00 midnight
pink lace filled their lives

smiles and crying with happiness
filled their bodies
it was their first creation

From their first hello
16 years ago
to the day they have been dreading

In two days marks her 17th birthday
one year from then
they will be saying their goodbyes

packing her belongings
starting her future
soaking her blonde hair in her tears

I wrote this on the day of my birthday and was thinking what it would be like when i am 18 and am going off to college.
