The Civil War
Two sides, Grey and Blue.
Soldiers running like animals straight out of a zoo.
Bullets whizzing left and right,
Some fly just out of sight.
Yet, some hit their mark.
Making soldiers’ eyes go dark.
And just as the bullets turn out the light.
Dying soldiers see their comrades rush to the fight.
With a smile they fall to the ground.
Slowly but surely as they hear the pound
Of the cannons roaring, spitting fire into the night.
Only victory will decide who is right.
And as the rain starts to fall.
Death beckons the soldiers
And they follow Death’s call.
And just as the blood finishes its long pour,
The soldiers learn,
While for the end, they yearn.
That this is the ending
Of the Civil War.

I wrote this for a journal entry at school. It's just another poem but I was told I should post it. Here ya go.
