Young Flowers

It blossomed
It blossomed in full bloom in the second week of May
Oh, did it bloom!
Anyone who denied it was truly blind
Even though the plants were new and young and had no idea
They continued to blossom
They blossomed into something truer and far better than those before
It was lovely, beautiful, and perfect
It was
Magic
And no one could dispute this
Yet, they did
This made some pedals wither on the young plants
But, once the one blossom saw the others beauty their pedals grew stronger, firmer, and more dazzling even though it did not seem possible
These blossoms were a field apart and they carried on blossoming
Pushing
Pushing each other to blossom bigger, brighter, greater, better, and more beautiful
Surprisingly, they did it
I do not know how, but they did
Now they are the most beautiful flowers in the world
The two and the only
No one disputes it
They came a long road but they managed
Somehow they managed
Now people come far and wide just to glimpse this miracle that was not meant
To
Blossom

The author's comments:
This poem was based loosely on a Romeo and Juliet type love. A forbidden love that even though some did not support it, it continued to blossom and grow out of nowhere.

This poem is totally awesome! I loved this! I think its one of the best poems I have ever read! I think that the author portrayed Romeo and Juliet perfectly!
