An Obvious Riddle
Lets play a game
its called, “solve the riddle”
you may find it dull
but I shall sit here and giggle
And there they stand
differently sized and colored
their spines so stiff
quiet but often bothered
They stand alert
always ready to be chosen
full to the brim
with knowledge unspoken
Have you guessed it yet?
i'm just getting warmed up
I wish you the best
and i hope you have good luck
Silently lined up
on their wooden pedestal
wondering why people
are always so meddlesome
Peering inside
scanning their souls
then putting them back
into their lonely little holes
If you still dont know
then I will give you a hint
but you should know
that your riddle skills arent mint
Ink bled into paper
letters tattooed on pages
plots and characters united
where vivid emotion rages
The Answer: Books.
