If I were a monster
I'd scare you away
You'd run and hide
Like I tried that day
But just as you did
I'd follow you through
And when you'd turn
I'd be there too
I'd grab you real tight
And throw you real high
Then smile and smirk
And down you would fly
And as your body hit the floor
And you started to scream
I'd tell you to shut up
How familiar would that seem
I'd do everything you did
As I looked you in the eye
And watched the tears poor down your cheek
While you wished that you could die
Then when I was finished
I'd let you walk away
And expect you to go on
And live every single day
But what you wouldn't relies
Is how hard it would be
Because everywhere you'd turn
There would still be me
And as the days would roll on
The memories wouldn't fade
Then maybe you would relies
The impact you have made
You took an innocent person
And put them in a place
Where they could not recognize
Even their own face
Now you just sit and smile
As they barley survive each day
Because you know no one will listen
To a word they have to say
But one day someone will listen
And you'll be forced to see
The monster you created
Inside of me.
