You don't laugh
At my corny jokes;
Instead make fun
Of my lousy attempts.
You make fun
Of the things I like;
I disagree
With your ideas.
But you finish
My sentences and
We say the same
Words unintentionally.
We laugh like
There's no tomorrow;
Tease like
It's all we know.
Maybe we are
Both of the primates,
But I believe, I am
More human than you are
But you'll probably argue.
Now don't go ape on me
'Cause we are friends
Nonetheless.
