Why try to fit in, if you were born to stand out?<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> -Dr. Suess

Upon the still brown pond
But beyond the green cozy lawn
With a frog near me I sit
Across the creek there is a horse with a bit
Through the water I go
I get on the horse I feel like I know
We ride like the wind below the bridge
We came to a ridge
I got off the brown panting horse
According to the sun’s source
It’s getting past seven
So I go toward my home called Heaven
Over the log
Past the frog
Beyond the green cozy lawn
I am aboard my gates and I yawn
In spite of tomorrow
I will not have any more sorrows
Now I lay against my so called bed
But wait I’m not dead
According to this bright light
I don’t have to fight
As of my old pain
I have a Lord that has a name
His name is Jesus
That releases
All the pain
That almost made me go insane

I wrote this for a grade in English class and all the teachers liked it so my teacher and I decided to try to publish it or put it in the teen ink magazine. It was written as a prepositional poem.
