Waiting to be noticed.
Crickets chirp. The wind whistles its tune. The trees stretch their arms in the air. The sun lifts its head into the sky waiting to be noticed.
She wakes up in the morning with a dream in her heart and a song to reach into the heavens. She waits for that day to be noticed.
The day goes by, still strong with a dream waiting in her heart. She walks along the glossy pavement, with students scuffling by and waits to be noticed.
Each day she grows stronger with the confidence instilled in her. "Surely, it will happen”, she softly whispered to herself. Yet she patiently waits to get noticed.
One, sweet day it finally came. Her wait came to a halt.
She was surrounded by watchful eyes, which came to hear a comforting, melodious voice.
As she stood still against the tide of the lookers, each one had a tear of joy from the depths of her overtones. The trial had crossed over to triumph. She had won this lifelong battle.
The crickets chirp. The wind whistles its tune. The trees stretch their arms in the air. The sun lifts its head into the sky no longer waiting to be noticed.
